Hi Christina -

Here is the AvoBase Download Page:

AVOBASE Installation - Updating - Removing Documentation.

Download And Read This Before You Install AvoBase!

This document will tell you how to Download and Install AvoBase. It will also tell you how to upgrade to the next version of AvoBase. If you have Windows VISTA, it will show you how to configure AvoBase to run under VISTA. It will also show you how to fully remove AvoBase.

The direct link to the file is here: http://www.avobase.com/files/avobase_in ... remove.zip

It will give you a step by step instruction on how to configure AvoBase for VISTA.

This document is a very small DOC file that will give you full instructions on how to install AvoBase on Windows VISTA or Windows 7.

If you are stuck on any part, don't hesitate to post here and I'll help you any way I can.

Ok, which directory did you install AvoBase in? C:\AvoBase or C:\Program Files\AvoBase?

If you are getting an error, can you tell me what the error is?

When you bring up the BDE Administrator found in the Control Panel, is the Net Directory set to C:\BDEShare - and have you created that directory in your C:\ directory?

Under the permissions in the Registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BORLAND - have you set the permissions for Users to FULL CONTROL?

Is this the installer, or is this AvoBase?

If you have never run AvoBase before, then browse to your C:\AvoBase\DataBase directory and erase all files, and then re-run AvoBase again.

Can you open your avobase.ini file, and post the contents here?

Also, try erasing all the database files in C:\AvoBase\Database directory and run AvoBase again.

in your AvoBase directory there is a file called "avobase.ini". If you open it, and copy all the contents of it, PASTE those contents here.

When you cleared the database files and re-ran AvoBase, did it stop again at 5%?
