Post Locked. AvoBase 1.16 has been released.
AvoBase version 1.16 is now in Testing and Regression Testing. It will go live on March 1st, 2010.
Over 700 hours have been put into this version, and the differences between 1.15 and 1.16 are night and day.

• Fixed Preferences Registration area to properly show Full Registered Information.

• Added new Product Earnings functionality: You can now add the earnings into your Order Products from your Orders based on the cost to you from your Avon receipt. Now you can track how much you are earning from each Campaign.
• Changed the Campaign Button from sending you directly to the Campaign area, to allowing to you Edit Campaigns, Print Reports, or Select a Current Campaign.
• Added a new Campaign Report: Campaign Status. This report tells you what you need to do to close out a Campaign.
• Added ability to select and make active a Current Campaign without Editing Campaigns.
• Changed lots of icons and beautified many areas of AvoBase.
• Added a Campaign Generator to help you create Campaigns for an entire year.
• Orders/Returns: When creating a new Order or Return, the Campaign Selector now defaults to your current Active Campaign.

• Report Interface for Campaign Product List now defaults to current Campaign.
• Made the Information Box a little smaller.
• In Customers, you can now press the first letter of the first name to automatically go to all records starting with said letter.
• Bug Fix: Corrected the Top Customer Report so that the Start and End Campaigns were correct.
• Removed the Earning and Expense Types from Preferences, and moved them to the Main Menu Bar.
• Bug Fix: The Books Edit Area had the Campaign listed as Campaign/Year rather than Year/Campaign.
• Bug Fix: The Report Interface had issues with Beginning and Ending Campaign.
• Bug Fix: Books – Fixed an issue where if you selected a different year for a new Book List – the Year would revert back to the current highest Campaign year.
• Bug Fix: Method of Payment was not properly enabling the Credit Card or Check Number areas when the dropdown list was changed to Credit Card or Check.
• Bug Fix: When selecting a Campaign in Books, the header is no longer “New Order”.
• Bug Fix: When creating a new Book List, the Campaign Year and Numbers are now correctly filled in.

• Added a new Top Customer Report by Invoice Amount. Now you can see your best Customer in terms of Orders Placed and Total Invoice Amounts.
• Added Avon Representative Account Number and District Number to AvoBase.
• Completely re-wrote the Expenses and Earnings sections of AvoBase.
• Removed the Browser portion of AvoBase. Avon’s website uses extensive JavaScript, and it is incompatible with AvoBase. Popup windows do NOT retain the login information and PDF files do not display correctly. The choice was to remove the browser from AvoBase as it was only barely functional with Avon’s websites.
• You can no longer enter a New Order or New Return without any Customers.
• Added a built in Calculator for quick and easy calculations.
• Removed the words “AVON” from AvoBase. This was to distance our Product and Company from any litigation from AVON for using its name, logos, or any other copyrighted information from AVON.
• Created a BASE NAME Preference for you to place the name of AVON or other name you wish to use AvoBase Application wide.
• Five new options added for printing your Customers.
• Added an Order Product list Report that is selectable from any start Campaign to End Campaign. You can print a list of all your Orders in any given range.
• Added a Campaign Order Breakdown by Campaign Year. Now you can see which of your Campaigns did the best.
• Added a Tax Rate to each individual Order. Prior, Orders were calculated by the current Tax Rate. This caused old orders to have incorrect values once they were closed under a lesser or greater Tax Rate.
• Added Campaign Credits to AvoBase. These are found on your Account Statement. Do not include Products or Books.
• Campaign Earnings have been changed to Award Sales and Earnings for Campaign.
• You can no longer create or edit Products if you do not have at least 1 Campaign.
• Removed ability to select directory for AvoBase to be installed to. Too many Customers were installing it in bad directories, causing multiple issues. AvoBase will now always install to C:\AVOBASE.
• Added an Earnings by Campaign Year report.
• Corrected the Campaign Editor Campaign Start/End. It was incorrectly predicting Start/End.
• Prior Invoice Balances can now be shown on Invoices to carry previous balances forward. This can be toggled on and off in preferences.
• AvoBase KEY files have been changed. You no longer have to name your key “avobase.key”. AvoBase will now search the c:\AvoBase directory for a .KEY file, and use the first .KEY file it finds.
• Added full ability to Email Invoices to Customers. Now, once your Invoices have been created, you can Email those Invoices to your Customers. Email Single Invoice, or all Invoices in any selected Campaign.
• Added ability to Email a Customer directly within AvoBase.
• Fully restructured the brochures editor and the Brochure Report. It should now be easier to keep track of your brochures and your brochure reports.
• Added Potential Customers to the Brochures editor. You can now add Potential Customers for books you have purchased, and keep track of spending and waste.
• Added Product On Hand to Products. You can now track any inventory you have on hand.
• Added a Product On Hand Report. You can now view how much Product you have on hand and how much money you have tied up in un-sold inventory.
• Added Product On Hand to Invoice Line Items. When you add a Product to your Invoice that has Quantity On Hand, a PRODUCT ON HAND is displayed on the Invoice Line Item.
• Quantity On Hand is now subtracted from Products when an Order is Finalized and contains products that are flagged as On Hand.
• Added ON HAND sort by method in Products.
• Bug Fix: When editing or adding new Products, upon SAVE, the Product Edited/Saved was not set to focus.
• Bug Fix: The AvoBase key timestamp stamps were M/D/Y. This caused issues with customers in the UK that have a timestamp of D/M/Y. The AvoBase key file has been modified to correct this issue. All Registered Customers of AvoBase will require a new registration key file.
• Bug Fix: Invoices now recalculate when the WAVE TAX checkbox is toggled on an Invoice Line Item.
• Added number of days left in Campaign to the AvoBase main area next to Campaign Number.
• Added Birth Date to Customers. Future versions will show upcoming birth dates of Customers.
• Added a First Order and Last Order Date to the Customer View/List/Edit area. You can now see at a glance when your Customers first and last placed an Order.
• Bug Fix: When entering a Product on an Invoice with a Prior Product in the Product Table, sometimes AvoBase would display the wrong set of prior Products.
• You can no longer add or edit a Product while selecting a Product on an Invoice.
• You can no longer add, edit, print or email a Customer while selecting a Customer on an Invoice. For adding and editing Customers, click on the Customers button on the AvoBase main menu bar.
• Removed the “Selecting An AvoBase Campaign” double message from activating a Campaign.
• Order List in Orders now defaults to Sort By Campaign. Any changes to Sort By, Show Order Types or Sort View are automatically saved, and will default to saved values when re-opened.
• Changed the AvoBase “Nag” screens to “Nag” less often.
• The AvoBase Registration area now allows you to FIND your AvoBase KEY file, rather than assuming it is stored in your AvoBase directory. The KEY file should still be located in your C:\AvoBase directory.
• Removed unnecessary buttons from off the Text Editor.
• When editing or adding a Campaign, on Cancel or Save the Campaign list returns to the Campaign you added or edited.
• Re-structured the Product List/Editor to better conform to finding products within any Campaign, or searching for Products in all Campaigns.
• Re-structured Order Invoice Line Items in finding Products that already exist within All, 1, 2 or 3 Campaigns (as set by Preference Default).
• AvoBase new installations will now default Order Number to #1, rather than #2.
• Removed “CURRENT” from the Customer Order List. It was incorrectly identifying Orders placed by the Customer in the current Campaign.
• Bug Fix: When creating a Return, it was not correctly adding the current tax rate.
• Bug Fix: When creating a Return based on a prior Order, it was not correctly adding the prior Order tax rate.
• Bug Fix: When creating a Return based on a prior Order, the Prior Order list was not sorting correctly by the sort preferences.
• All Sort, Order By, and View By areas have been updated to be less cryptic.
• Standardized all messages application wide.
• Bug Fix: “Cannot Focus a Disabled Window” fixed in Returns based on Prior Orders in tabbing through Invoice Line Items.
• Invoice Line Items now have proper color designating which line you are on.
• Added a new Tool Bar to the Invoice Line Items area for adding blank Invoice Lines, Product Lines, Discounting Lines and Deleting Lines.
• Bug Fix: Orders with no Line Items are now properly showing “0 Items” in the Order List.
• Bug Fix: Customer Editing ~ Customer Order List would sometimes cause an access violation when viewing different Customer Records.
• Bug Fix: Customer Order List area dropdown Sort, View are now working correctly.
• You can no longer add or save a Product that does not contain a Product Number or Cost of at least 0.01.
• Bug Fix: Entering invalid Product Numbers when editing or creating Products no longer throws an error when canceling.
